Seit mehr als 40 Jahren gibt es den Infoladen in Gießen und seit 22 Jahren besteht unser Kulturzentrum das AK44 und der Infoladen im Alten Wetzlarer Weg. Dank der Unterstützung des Mietshäusersyndikats sowie zahlreicher toller und unterschiedlicher Menschen haben wir es geschafft, das Haus zu kaufen und unser Wohnprojekt und Kulturzentrum langfristig zu erhalten. Wir möchten diesen Erfolg am 20. Oktober zusammen mit euch gebührend feiern.
Los geht es um 15Uhr mit Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen und einem gemeinsamen Beisammensein. Außerdem werden wir euch kurz darüber informieren, wie der Stand des Hauskaufprozesses aussieht, was nach dem Kauf noch zu erledigen ist und welche weiteren Perspektiven es gibt. Es wird kühle Drinks, leckere Pizza aus dem Ofen, Infostände und viel Platz zum gemeinsamen Kennenlernen, Austauschen, Vernetzen und Feiern geben.

Vortrag – Vio.ME Selbstorganisierte Seifenfabrik in Thessaloniki
Seit 2013 haben Arbeiter*innen die Fabrik S.E. VIO.ME in Thessaloniki besetzt und produzieren nun umweltfreundliche Seifen und Reinigungsmittel. Der Vortrag stellt die Seifenfabrik und ihren Kampf gegen die Räumung durch den neuen Eigentümer vor.
Lesung: PUNK as F*CK – Vortrag: Sexismus im Punk
Der Veranstaltungsbeitrag ist nicht nur eine Lesung mit Auszügen aus dem Buch „PUNK as F*CK – die Szene aus FLINTA Perspektive“, sondern vor allem ein Vortrag zu den Themen Punk und Feminismus und zur #punktoo Bewegung, welche die Grundlage für die Arbeit am Buch war.

Since more than 40 years the social center Infoladen has existed in Gießen and since 22 years we have our cultural center, the AK44 which inkludes the Infoladen now, in Alten Wetzlarer Weg. Thanks to the support of the Mietshaussyndikat and many wonderfull people, we managed to buy the house and maintain our housing project and cultural center in the long term. We would like to celebrate this success with you on October 20th.
It starts at 3 p.m. with coffee, tea and cake and a get-together. We will also briefly inform you about what the status of the house buying process looks like, what still needs to be done after the purchase and what there is to do in the future. There will be cool drinks, delicious pizza from the oven, information stands and plenty of space to get to know each other, exchange ideas, network and celebrate. It will be nice to see you there!

Lecture – Vio.ME Self-organized soap factory in Thessaloniki:
Since 2013, workers have occupied the S.E. factory VIO.ME in Thessaloniki. The self organizied workers now produce environmentally friendly soaps and cleaning products. The lecture introduces the soap factory and its fight against eviction by the new owner.
