Das Autonome Kulturzentrum (AK) im Alten Wetzlarer Weg 44 besteht seit 2001 und wurde damals als Ersatzobjekt f\u00fcr die S\u00fcdanlage 20 bezogen. Die S\u00fcdanlage 20 war ab 1981 ein besetztes Haus in Gie\u00dfen, welches ein Wohnprojekt, den Infoladen sowie Kulturr\u00e4ume beherbergte. 1989 bekamen Bewohner*innen und der Infoladen Mietvertr\u00e4ge. 1999 wurden diese gek\u00fcndigt und das Geb\u00e4ude abgerissen. Dank entschlossener Proteste konnte im Jahr 2001 im Alten Wetzlarer Weg ein Ersatzobjekt g\u00fcnstig angemietet werden, welches bis heute besteht.<\/p>\n
Was das AK44 ist, wie es funktioniert und welchen Kurs wir einschlagen, bestimmen alle Nutzer*innen gemeinsam. Und da immer wieder neue Leute dazu kommen und andere irgendwann wieder gehen, befinden wir uns best\u00e4ndig in Findungsprozessen und Diskursen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Seit Bestehen des Zentrums ist es ein Ort um Gegenentw\u00fcrfe zur kommerziellen Verwertung des \u00f6ffentlichen Raumes zu erproben. Das bedeutet, dass alle Menschen die M\u00f6glichkeit haben das Kulturzentrum frei von Konsumzwang zu nutzen. Gleichzeitig kann auch niemensch Geld verdienen. Profit gibt es im Projekt nicht: Alle Einnahmen, die \u00fcber die Ausgaben f\u00fcr Strom, Heizung, Wasser, M\u00fcll- und GEMA-Geb\u00fchren sowie Baumaterialien f\u00fcr die Instandhaltung des Geb\u00e4udes hinausgehen, flie\u00dfen in politische Projekte. Was stattfindet, h\u00e4ngt nicht davon ab, wie viel Geld es einbringt, sondern allein davon, was die Nutzer*innen inhaltlich gut und richtig finden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Wichtig ist uns, dass politische Vortr\u00e4ge, Diskussionsveranstaltungen, Lesungen und Workshops genauso stattfinden wie Partys und Konzerte. Derzeit gibt es R\u00e4ume f\u00fcr Treffen von politischen Gruppen, das Archiv (siehe unten), eine vegane K\u00fcFa (K\u00fcche f\u00fcr Alle), einem Bandproberaum und eine Siebdruckwerkstatt. Dabei soll Kultur immer in politische Strukturen eingebunden sein.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Die Bandbreite der im Infoladen vertretenen Inhalte reicht von Antifaschismus, Flucht und Migration \u00fcber Feminismus und Genderthematik bis hin zu\u00a0 linksradikaler Politik im Allgemeinen, Antinationalismus, (Sub-)Kultur und vielem mehr. Wobei die Aufz\u00e4hlung weder hierarchisch noch abschlie\u00dfend ist. Zu verschiedenen Themen liegt Literatur in Form von B\u00fcchern und Zeitschriften zum schm\u00f6kern und kaufen dort aus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Der Infoladen wird getragen und genutzt von Menschen mit unterschiedlichsten politischen \u00dcberzeugungen aus dem undogmatischen sowie emanzipatorischen, linksradikalen Spektrum. Trotz aller Pluralit\u00e4t eint die Aktiven die Unzufriedenheit mit den herrschenden Verh\u00e4ltnissen bzw. die Motivation gemeinsam einen Gegenentwurf zu probieren und zu leben. So fungiert der Infoladen als wichtige Schnittstelle f\u00fcr Gruppen und Initiativen aus verschiedensten politischen und kulturellen Teilbereichen und Spektren. Ein Aktionsraum mit vielen M\u00f6glichkeiten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Das Plenum<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Im \u00f6ffentlich Plenum werden etwa alle zwei Wochen inhaltliche, organisatorische und alle weiteren anliegenden Themen, Fragen und Problemstellungen diskutiert und nach dem Konsensprinzip entschieden. Da wir nichts von Hierarchien oder starren Organisationsformen halten und auch niemensch Geld f\u00fcr ihre*seine Arbeit im Zentrum bekommt, ist dies der Ort, wo wir Probleme gemeinsam zu l\u00f6sen versuchen und Entscheidungen treffen. Das Plenum ist somit das einzige gestaltende Organ des Zentrums und jede*r darf\/soll sich beteiligen.<\/p>\n Das Plenum ist auch der richtige Anlaufpunkt, wenn du beispielsweise im Info<\/b>la<\/b>den\/AK44 eine Veranstaltung organisieren m\u00f6chtest bzw. dir eine anderweitige Nutzung vorschwebt.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Komm vorbei: – jeden ersten und dritten <\/b>Dienstag im Monat<\/b> um 18:30 Uhr<\/b> zum Plenum.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n _______________________________________________<\/p>\n What does \u201eInfoladen\u201c mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n „Autonomes Kulturzentrum\u201c (AK) in Alter Wetzlarer Weg 44 exists since 2001 and is used as an equivalent alternative to former S\u00fcdanlage 20.\u00a0Since 1981 S\u00fcdanlage 20 was a squat in Gie\u00dfen, which hosted a housing project, the Infoladen and spaces to provide culture.\u00a0In 1989 the squatters and the Infoladen received lease agreements.Those leases were terminated in 1999 and the building was torn down.\u00a0Determined protests enabled to rent an equivalent property in 2001 for a favourable lease, which still exists today.<\/p>\n AK 44<\/strong><\/p>\n The definition of the AK 44, how it works and which course is followed is determined by all participants together.\u00a0As there are always new faces but also people leaving, we are in a constant identification process and discourse.<\/p>\n Ever since, the AK 44 offers space for testing alternative concepts to commercial utilization of public space.\u00a0<\/span>Therefore everyone is welcome at the AK 44 without being obliged to purchase anything.\u00a0At the same time no one can earn money.\u00a0The AK 44 is a non-profit institution: any revenue exceeding the expenses on electricity, heating, water, waste fees, GEMA fees, building materials for maintenance and repair directly flows into political projects.What is finally going to be realized is up to what participants decide to be good and proper in a content-related way.<\/p>\n It is important to us that likewise to parties and concerts also political lectures, discussions, readings and workshops take place.\u00a0<\/span>Currently there is space for meetings of political groups, the archive (see below), a vegan K\u00fcFa (people\u2019s kitchen), a rehearsal room and a screen printing workshop.\u00a0<\/span>In doing so, culture always has to be integrated into political structures.<\/p>\n Infoladen<\/strong><\/p>\n The Infoladen offers a wide range of content from anti-fascism, flight and migration, feminism, gender-related issues to radical left politics in general, anti-nationalism, (sub-)culture and much more. However, the listing is neither hierarchic nor final.\u00a0Literature in the form of books and magazines is displayed and can be browsed or bought.<\/p>\n The Infoladen is supported and used by people with widely varying political opinions within the\u00a0 <\/span>undogmatic and emancipatory, radical left spectrum.\u00a0In spite of all the pluralities, the supporters and participants are united in being dissatisfied regarding the prevailing circumstances or rather the motivation to evaluate and live a collective alternative concept.\u00a0Therefore the Infoladen is an important link for groups and initiatives from varying political and cultural subareas and spectra.\u00a0An action room with many possibilities.<\/p>\n The plenary<\/strong><\/p>\n Almost every two weeks, the public plenary discusses about content-related, organizational and all other pending questions, topics and problems.
